"We landed in the helicopter in a small village in a remote part of Iceland. Paddle skis awaited us on the beach, along with guides, a security team, and lightning-fast whale scouters. We paddled towards the scouted whales, the anticipation building with each stroke. Sliding in, we found ourselves face to face with the gentle giants. Their massive eyes seemed to hold ancient wisdom as they gracefully glided by, close enough to touch. Beneath the surface, it felt like we had entered an isolated universe, a tranquil realm where time stood still. Looking into the eye of this enormous being, we felt an almost spiritual connection and a profound, peaceful respect. The feeling was indescribable—pure awe and a deep connection with nature lingered long after the encounter."
