Museums
Icelandic museums are very lively, fun and unique. The Reykjavík art museum is in three buildings, one of which is located in downtown Reykjavík by the harbour called Hafnarhús. Their aim is to gain deeper understanding of history, culture and society.
National gallery of Iceland is located next to Fríkirkja church by the pond. This gallery is very quite and the building itself has intersting history.
Reykjavík maritime museum is by the old harbour and was originally used as a fish freezing plant. Now it‘s a museum where 150 years of fisheries in Iceland is permanently displayed. The museum explores Icelandic dramatic relationship with the sea through out history.

Seefood Grill
This restaurant is also located in the city center, it focuses on courses that are inspired by the fishing villages of Iceland. The chef, Gústav Axel Gunnlaugsson, traveled for months around Iceland looking for the perfect taste! The food has a unique grill taste that reflects the taste of the homeland.

Kol restaurant doesn‘t commit to any certain culinary path but seeks inspiration from all around the world, their motto is to serve delicious food regarding where the inspiration came from. Laundromat cafe
Vibrant, full of life and cozy cafe in the heart of Reykjavík city. Like the name states, it has a full functional laundromat so you can wash your clothes while having a delicious coffee or a burger. Monkeys is a restaurant that goes with Nikkei cuisine, which is when Japanese and Peruvian cuisine is mixed together. The outcome is various exciting small dishes. The restaurant has a bar called Kokteilabarinn or the Cocktailbar, there you can taste some amazing cocktails while as well get on board on the champagne train! Bastard
This is a great bar for those who love beer! They brew a few of their own beers and also have a great selection of other brands. They put alot of effort into their cocktails and have their very own twist on classics such as Aperol Spritz. This bar is located in downtown Reykjavik and is very popular amongst locals. They offer a great selection of snacks with the beer such as warm Pretzel, mini tacos, cheese and charcuterie platter. On the top floor they have the option of playing a match of darts.
