Opened in 2024, Skostredet Hotel is a luxury boutique hotel designed by renowned architects Claesson Koivisto Rune. With a strong focus on sustainability and quality, the hotel's architecture and interior are united in a natural combination of Japanese elegance and Scandinavian simplicity, offering a holistic experience, a gateway to Bergen's diverse culture and history. Guests are invited in from the busy streets, fjords, steep mountains, and urban life outside, into a space where the greenery extends indoors.
The hotel's location is close to the House of Literature and the city's oldest and most beautiful church, Domkirken. Staying here means you are within walking distance of historic Bryggen, the Fish Market, and the Fløibanen funicular - which whisks you up to the mountains and western Norway's striking views and beautiful nature.
Skostredet Hotel is also home to two restaurants, the fine dining restaurant OMAKASE by Sergey PAK, which is led by a master chef and winner of the Nordic Sushi Master Chef competition, and bar and restaurant IZAKAYA Skosytedey. The culinary experience at Skostredet Hotel is a tribute to the flavours of Norway and Japan, with a focus on local Bergen ingredients and a heavy dose of masterful Japanese cuisine.
Skostredet SPA will be opening in winter 2025 with four different saunas, a heated pool, a cold pool, a quiet room, and a relaxation area. Guests can indulge in everything from facials to massages and have access to a fitness room. At Skostredet Hotel, it's easy to find your way to inner harmony and balance.
